The 48th Mountain View Art & Wine Festival, coming up September 7-8, is a festival like no other. An authentic and moveable feast for the senses. The cool, vibrant, multicultural Castro Street vibe. Silicon Valley’s World-Class Art, Music & Food Festival is a spectacularly fun celebration of life featuring 500 professional artists and craftmakers showing exceptional handcrafted wares, stellar live music on stage and street throughout downtown, the Comcast Pigskin Party Lounge with football and baseball on the giant screen TV, fabulous food and drink with premium wines, seasonal craft beer, refreshing sangria, mimosas, Bellinis, fresh-fruit margaritas, classic Bloody Marys and Summer Breeze Mules—the signature craft cocktail—artisan specialty food purveyors, sensational young performers strut their showstopping stuff on the Mountain View’s Got Talent Facebook Community Stage, Super Duper Kids’ Park with ultra thrilling bungee jumping, wild and wacky waterballerz, a 24’ rock climbing wall, mechanical bull ride, bumper cars, miniature golf game, super cool henna art, glitter tattoos, face painting, an organic and green products showcase, Stay Cool Misting Tent, health and wellness displays and home and garden exhibits. The dynamite, non-stop music lineup includes the big Saturday Into The Groove Dance Party (5-7 p.m.). Festival admission is free. Presented by the Mountain View Chamber of Commerce.

Exceptional Art, Fine Crafts … 500 of America’s top artists and craftmakers show original work in ceramics, fiber, glass, fine art, jewelry, leather, metal, paper, sculpture, and wood. Gorgeous vases, flatware, clocks, dishes, wall and table decorations, stained and beveled glass, etchings, sculptures, photography, oil and watercolor paintings, jewelry, vests, handbags, hats, wallets, footwear, and waterfalls will be among the fine wares available.

The ShanksStellar Live Music and Entertainment Everywhere … get ready – the greatest two days of live music Mountain View has ever experienced is coming with thirteen sensational bands performing on the LinkedIn Concert Stage in Civic Center Plaza and multiple locations throughout downtown. The dynamite non-stop music lineup includes the big Saturday evening Into The Groove Dance Party (5-7 p.m.). The entertainment lineup for 2019 is yet to be announced. Centrally located at Mercy and Castro, there will be plenty of seating, festive food and drink, and cornhole tossing action. It’s the perfect spot to kick back and take a break while you enjoy a great day at the festival. Plus you can rinse off and refresh under the light spray in the Stay Cool Misting Tent!

Viva Plastic! Pay for drink tickets and glasses using any major credit card at the Ticket/Glass booths spread throughout the festival.

Public Transit: Ride Caltrain, VTA Light Rail or Bus service to the festival – you’re dropped off at the festival doorstep! Get details.

Bicycle ParkingAvoid the traffic congestion and ride your bike. Free centrally located and highly visible bicycle parking will be offered near the corner of Castro and Church Streets thanks to Friends of Stevens Creek Trail. Please bring your own lock.

Vehicle ParkingFree parking is available on streets and parking plazas surrounding the downtown area. Paid parking ($5) will be available both days (beginning at 9:30 a.m.) at these locations: 400 Castro Street (parking lot entrance on Bryant Street), 444 Castro Street (parking lot entrance on Bryant Street), Kaiser Permanente (555 Castro Street –– parking lot entrance on Hope Street), and the City of Mountain View parking Lot #12 (on Bryant between California and Mercy Streets). Parking fees benefit KMVT.
